How we got here

Our Story

After meeting for our first coffee-date in May of 2019, we spent the whole day adventuring through various longboard trails around town. At one point Olivia tried to hold Justin's hand while longboarding and ended up falling and almost breaking her wrist, leading to us spending the remainder of our first date in the hospital. It was truly love at first sight, and we became inseparable from that point on.

Fast forward to March of 2025 when Justin proposed on the top of Sulphur Mountain in Banff, one of our favorite retreats away from city life. We truly appreciate all of your love and support over the last 7 years of our journey together, and are so excited to give you all a day of fun, food, and dancing to celebrate our love!

  1. Turn West off of Hwy 2 onto Hwy 611.
  2. Turn North (right) onto Range Road 283.
  3. Turn East (right) onto Township Rd 452.
  4. Turn right into The Valley Weddings.

There is no overnight parking — all guest vehicles must be off the property by 12:00 AM (midnight).

Shuttle service

A free shuttle runs between the hotel and the venue.

  • Venue → Hotel — 12:00 AM
  • Venue → Hotel — 1:00 AM (for wedding party helping close down)

Where to stay

  • The Village Creek Country Inn

    The venue's nearest inn — also known as The Village at Pigeon Lake, at 15 Village Drive, Westerose, AB T0C 2V0, about a 15-minute drive (or free shuttle) from the venue. We've held a room block for Thursday and Friday night under room code FILA27 (or under Laatsch / Fisher), with check-in from 3:00 PM. Please book at least three months ahead — after that the held rooms are released to the general public. If you can't check in before the wedding, no problem: the front desk is staffed late, so you can pick up your room late-night after the reception. Rooms are at your own cost, and the venue is a fair drive from Calgary/Edmonton, so staying here makes the weekend easy.

Honeymoon Fund

We are so grateful to share our wedding celebration with our closest friends and family. Your presence is truly the most meaningful gift we could ask for.

We've decided not to create a registry. For those still wishing to give, we would be very grateful for a contribution toward our honeymoon fund — we're headed to Japan and Thailand in 2027. You can send an Interac e-transfer to gifts@oliviaandjustin.com, and there will also be a wishing well on site for cards.
